sade sati is what u call it when Saturn walks through the sign before ur moon sign, then ur moon sign, then the sign after it. three signs in a row, about 2.5 years each. seven and a half years in total. that is the entire definition.

every moon sign gets this. it is not a fault in certain charts. it is just Saturn strolling through the street ur moon happens to live on, and it comes back around every 29.5 years or so.

the three phases actually mean different things

phase one, rising. Saturn is in the sign just before ur moon. this is the set-up. things start shifting before u work out why. old arrangements come loose. it usually feels like a low hum of unease rather than a crisis.

phase two, peak. Saturn's job in astrology is limits, structure and discipline. it is the planet that asks u to slow down and do it properly instead of fast.

so a few years of that planet moving through the signs around ur moon tends to line up with rebuilding. jobs change. relationships get looked at honestly. health habits finally get dealt with. someone in the family starts needing u more.

none of that is fun while it is happening. most of it is the kind of thing people later call necessary.
